Being able to wear
comfy knitted pieces is one of the best things about fall. Knit has the natural
ability to make us feel warm and cozy while making us look very relaxed. I
think all girls deal with the cold season with at least one or three knitted
pieces in their closet.
However, these pretty
pieces are most effective when worn correctly and when matched with right
combinations. So if you love knits as much as I do, check out these awesome
tips on what to wear with your knitted staples this fall.
LEATHER
Knits are usually associated with relaxed and
comfortable looks and is usually hard to give a more polished touch. One way to
make knitted outfits a bit tougher without losing its feel-good vibe is by
pairing it with anything that is made of leather. Match your knitted pullover
with your leather pants or your knitted sleeveless with a leather jacket.
TULLE
You can create a sweet
and feminine outfit by wearing your knit items with tulle. You can always
purchase sweaters with tulle accents. But if you are brave enough, you can just
put on a knit top then pair it with a fluffy or flowy tulle skirt.
LACE
If you are not a fan of
tulle, you can always mix your knits with your items with lace. From lace,
dresses, lace cardigans, lace scarf, or even something as small as lace
trimmings in your blouse.
JEANS
Nothing beats the
casual and relaxed vibes brought by a knit clothing paired with jeans. Get that
comfy, warm, and feel-good outfit by wearing an oversized sweater matched with
a perfect pair of jeans.
KNITS
Do you think knit on
knit won’t work? It definitely will! The secret to pulling off a knit-on-knit
look is to wear one big piece of knit clothing like a sweater with another
smaller knit item like a scarf. Bear in mind that the key to
this technique is proportion.
PLAID
Layer your knitted
sweater over a plaid shirt or match it with something plaid such as plaid jeans
or plaid cape. Knit combined with plaid creates a very classic fall look,
because knit and plaid are both fall staples and they go very well together.
There you go. You are
now ready to wear the knitted trend in style without compromising comfort. And
who said fashion can’t be comfortable? Well, with all sort of knitwear, comfort
will always meet style.
